ML370G4 and GB-NIC (NC7771)
When installing a GB-NIC (NC7771) into any of the PCIx slots on a ML370G4 Server, the NIC is not recognized by smartstart v.7.2.
and therefore will not install drivers.
I have not found any documented restrictions on slot placment?
Other info
SmartStart version 7.2
Array controller is a 6400 256mb.
On board NIC is recognized with no problems.
OS to be installed is Windows Server2003.

what you see from POST or F9 is a card detected ? Can you change IRQ Settings ? under PCI devices ?

Re: ML370G4 and GB-NIC (NC7771)
Thanks for the information. HP however is sending another NIC as they feel that the one we have is bad.
