ML530 - Upgrading RAID1 drives

I have a server with a C drive of (2)9.1 GB (mirrored) on a SmartArray card, is there a simple way to upgrade to a higher capacity drives?

Depending on which array controller you have, you should be able to do a hot-expansion. Although I have never tried it on a mirror-ed set. You may only be able to do it on a RAID-5 or higher. I woould have to check.

Which SMART array controller?

It is a SmartArray 5300. The ML530 has a full set of drives, with two logical drives (C & D) The C Drive is reaching max capacity and since, it is the system drive, I was hoping there would be a simple way to upgrade or migrate the data from 9.1GB drives to 18.2GB drives. I would rather not have to backup/restoration procedures, if I don't have to.

Sweet, Thanks. I was told by some of my co-workers that, simply swapping the drives one at a time would only result in 9.1 of the 18.2 being used, not the full 18.2GB. Good thing I decided to get a second opinion.
