Hello,
I have a brand new Proliant Microserver Gen8.
I've done the following:
- I updated Intelligent provisioning to 1.6.
- I created a mirror RAID.
- I installed Windows Server 2012 R2 Foundation.
- Started installing Windows important updates and rebooting after request.
After a few reboots (requested by windows update) the server displays an error screen and the reboots to display and screen asking for language and then repair options.
Seems like it stops to recognize RAID since diskpart can┬┤t see no disk.
SmartArray shows everything fine.
I started everything again and then the same result.
Any ideas?

SolutionI just went thru the same situation. Had a service request in with HP & finally got the fix when I got the ticket elvated to Level 2.
This describes the issue & there is a Microsoft hotfix for it. It worked for me & haven't had any issues with reboots since

Re: Microserver Gen 8 stops recognizing array
Both Microsoft's workarounds to recover from "no boot" state didn┬┤t work for me.
I┬┤ll start over and patch Windows server with 2966870 hotfix before Windows update KB2919355 makes its mess.
I'll post later my results.
Thanks a lot.

Reinstalled and used patch before applying updates.
All updates are installed now and still working.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Microserver Gen 8 stops recognizing array
Ah , the link stop working. now don't point to the solution you comment.
Here similar trouble , but curiously only happening to the data volume , the system volume (SSD at the ODD place) remains correct but the data volume (4 x 4TB WD Red) suddenly strips the raid and the volume disappear , even in the middle of a writing operation.
All 4 disk tested in all manners and no problem on the disks , software problem ? controller problem ? Hope somebody can point us to the correct way with this machine.
Thanks in advance guys.
Mani.

Re: Microserver Gen 8 stops recognizing array
Thanks sir , I was reading a bit and checked our Microserver and found this problematic update isn't installed.
Actually all the test are pointing me to think the server have a problem in the 2 disk slots on the right (3 and 4) , when i mount a RAID 0 on the 1 & 2 Slots all work well.
The test continues , keep you informed guys.
