Microserver and suspend (S3)
Hi
I'm trying out an HP Proliant Microserver. So far I'm really impressed by the performance for such low cost and low spec hardware. You really get a lot for your money.
I'ts almost perfect as a little NAS box at home. But only almost, because I cant get it to suspend. When I run powercfg /a it reports that the firmware does not support any state, not S1, S2 or S3. That's dissapointing.
I'm running the latest bios 041. Is this what others are seeing? Is there anyway this can be solved?
Regards,
Kaj

Re: Microserver and suspend (S3)
Same here. No S3 (sleep) option for both Ubuntu and Windows. Very anoying. Hope they will fix in a bios update. /MF

Re: Microserver and suspend (S3)
Yes I would also really like to see S3 support.
Surely in a small business (~10) who also want green credentials, S3 is needed!

Re: Microserver and suspend (S3)
Contacted HP regarding S3 on the Microserver.
Got a phonecall this afternoon saying that they are not planning on supporting it either...:smileysad:
