N40L Controlling blue LED/ HP Logo

We use N40L as storage servers - is there any way of blinking or controlling for example the blue led with the LOGO?

 

We want to use something to notify a operator of an error condition - we have lots of them and currently we have to assign a fixed ip to the to now which one has failed and needs replacing. 

 

any suggestions
