NC360T in Proliant 360 G5 server speed down from 1Gbps to 100Mbps
Hi,
We found a ethernet speed down from 1GBPS to 100MBPS when linked Cisco switch cataly4948 (1GBPS Switch)restart. And it can not auto recover to 1GBPS.Only can manual re-enable NC360T Connection.
The detail phenomena during cisco switch restart is as following:
1. NC360T will lose communication
2. NC360T will recover communication with 1GBPS
3. lost communication again
4. after few seconds recover communication with 100 MBPS
5. Stable with 100 MPBS.
Could someone help me to solve this problem ? Thanks.
Now I am using the latest NC360T driver: 9.10.82.0 (15 Oct 07)
PS: I attached the event log files during restart switch.
Bill

Have you tried configuring the swicth/NIC to negotiate at 1g, not auto?

Re: NC360T in Proliant 360 G5 server speed down from 1Gbps to 100Mbps
Thanks for the reply.
Actually, I tried to change to 1Gb duplex instead of auto which seems work. However,it is not allowed we to do this inside this switch , since there are also some 100MBPS equipment linked. But during test, I only connect one SERVER with NC360T. I just wonder if the NC360T is compatible with CISCO 4948 Switch ?
