NetRAID re-configuration

Hi,
I have a tc4100 server with NetRAID and 3 HDDs configured in a quite useless way.
3 arrays, each array with one HDD as a LD.
So each HDD is an own LD (LD0, LD1, LD2).
This does not really make sense.
I would like to remove LD1 and add it's harddisk to the existing LD0 (Boot C: drive) so that I can configure LD0 as RAID-1.
I couldn't find a way to do this with NetRAID Assistant? Is it possible to re-assign harddisks without having to re-install the whole server?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Re: NetRAID re-configuration

Tom,

like with other PCI raid controllers, you can only remove one logical drive starting from the last one down to the first one.

So you can only remove LD2, then LD1 in your configuration to then convert LD0 to raid1 mirroring.

The easiest would be to add a disk and convert the LD0 form raid0 into raid1 obviously. If that is not possible then you can really only backup LD2, delete the LD2 and then add that disk so that LD0 becomes redundant/raid1.

Re: NetRAID re-configuration

Kris,
many thanks, I was not aware of the last to first procedure. However, that's OK for me as the content on LD2 has to be moved anyway as it will be replaced by two new bigger drives.

Thx,
Tom
