Netserver E 60 4 beeps on boot
Our server will not boot normally. Upon power up, it issues a series of 4 beeps evenly spaced. HP beep code documents do not list this series. The hard drive light is solid and there is no activity on the monitor. The server will boot to a bootable CD such as an NT install CD. Does this mean the main hard drive is bad (There are three drives total)?

Re: Netserver E 60 4 beeps on boot
Tom,
I do not know the beep codes, but it could mean that the SCSI controller is bad. Since this is an on-board controller, you may want to try installing another SCSI controller.
