Network slow on ML 350 G4 under 2003

hello,

I have a problem of slowness network, i have a hp ML 350 G4 under windows 2003 server, the network adapter is a NC7761. When i copy files from the server to a network station, all is OK, but when i copy same files from the network station to the server (in a network share), the network is slow.

the version of the NIC network adapter is 7.103.0.0, it's the last driver

I try another switch and i have the same problem

is what somebody can help me?

thank you for the response. I have ever test with another cable for the server. I configured the server's network adapter to 1000 MB full duplex and my cable is a CAT5E. My server is connected on a Gigabit port on a swith 3COM 42OO Series.

Is what I should change the Cat 5E cable for a Cat 6 cable for a gigabit connection ?

what kind of switch is your server connected to? (Brand Firmware) This sometimes is a problem especially with CISCO Switches we had that problem once. We tried different speed at the server and the switch and found a combinatíon that worked
