New Install on ML370 G1

Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up a second user ML370 (twin 633MHz + 1Gb RAM). I've got the SmartStart 5.5 CD and I've done a system erase, but it will not boot from the CD so I can't build the array etc.

Any ideas how to get it to boot from the CD?

Hi, do you cleaned CD ROM heads? or test with other Smart Start media? CDROM reads good another cds??? if no, change it and install OS with Smart Start...good luck...

Hi Carlos,

Thanks - I've just replaced the whole CD-ROM, well it was a bit slow too, and that has solved the problem.

Hi I think if you put the smart 5,5 start cd in a desktop open up the cd there is an option to make floppy's one of which is a system erease utility that you can boot from best to run it a couple of times
