PROLIANT ML330 G3 server - fan's Failuer
Good Day,
I own ML330 G3 server
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11614_div/11614_div.HTML
Unfortunately, the server is no longer under guarantee as it's 4 year old.
I noticed that the FAN which is located at the Power Supply's unit started to make some noises.
Today the system was shout down automatically due to the fan's failure.
As per yr knowledge & experiences, is it possible to replace only the Power supply's fan?
If so, what's the fan's P/N?
Is it Spare Part 176609-001?
If it's not possible or recommended,
Should I replace the hole unit:
Spare Part: POWER SUPPLY P/N 324714-001
Thanks for yr kind help

Re: PROLIANT ML330 G3 server - fan's Failuer
The only fans that HP's sells for the ML370-G3 is the heatsync/fan assembly for the CPU chip and the system fan. This is the big fan right below the power supply If there's a fan inside the power supply thats faulty you would normally replace the supply. You could pry it open and get fan manufactures numbers off the fan and try to source it, but it's a lot of work.
