Parity Check/Memory Parity Check Error
Hello
during Windows 2003 installation I receive Blue screen with: ***Hardware Malfunction Call your hardware vendor for support NMI:Parity Check/Memory Parity Check Error *** The system halted***
Before posting I used HP Firmware Maintenance CD v.7.90 for offline updates: Bios is D14 09/15/2004 Smart Array 5304-128 v.3.54 I have 2 HP 512M memory modules. And 2 third party 1GB modules (each). I tried different combinations of memory installation. Only HP, only 3rd party in pairs and single. Diags from Smart Start 7.90 run 100% fine.
Such a beautiful server but not useable :)
What could be done?
Just don't say it's a motherboard.
The warranty expired in July :)
Thanks, Michael.
