ProLiant ML 530 G2 Performance problem
Proliant ML 530 G2 with
2x 2.4 Xeon Processor. Windows 2000 server. Microsoft Embedded Visual C++ 4.0 compiler is extremely slow. Its taking 6 to 8 hours to complete a compile. The same compile finishes in 40 minutes on a Vectra VL 500Mhz processor desktop pc. I turned off Hyper-Threading and experimented with processor affinity with no change. Task manager shows that the system is using no more than 5% or cpu resources during the compile. Additionally unzipping an archive of 2000 files performes the same as compared to the Vectra machine. We have two ML530's in two different locations configured identicallly and they both have the same performance problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: ProLiant ML 530 G2 Performance problem
We have the same problem with dual xeon 3.4 Proliant ML350 G4. Both processors are detected by Windows 2003 server, everything seems ok but CPU utilization is allways low (around 5%). All tasks take several times longer to complete than on single CPU server. I would really appreciate if someone can help us with this issue.
