ProLiant ML570 G2 0x000000D1 stop error

Hi,

we have a ProLiant ML570 running Windows 2003 SP1 that has restarted with a 0x000000D1 stop error 8 times in 3 months. Before the last restart we did this (as adviced by hp phone support)

- uninstall win sp1
- install support pack 7.40
- install win sp1
- install support pack 7.40 again

That worked ok long enough for us to think that the problem was solved but today it restarted again.

The error has been the exact same all times (Error code 000000d1, parameter1 000000d4, parameter2 00000007, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 f7254f1a).

Result of analyze of dumpfile is this:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
...
Arguments:
Arg1: 000000d4, memory referenced
Arg2: 00000007, IRQL
Arg3: 00000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
Arg4: f7254f1a, address which referenced memory

Probably caused by : adpu160m.sys (adpu160m+13f1a )

Any ideas of how to solve this?

Re: ProLiant ML570 G2 0x000000D1 stop error

Which ML570 G2 BIOS is it running?

Are any non-RAID SCSI controllers installed? If not, I'm guessing that the adpu160m.sys error is indicative of a problem with the onboard SCSI controller.

Thanks for the answer.

The version of the BIOS running is 4.08 (09/15/2004). We'll install the 4.09 (05/06/2005) version and hopefully that will fix the problem. Otherwise I'll come back and post some more info here.
