Proliant 1600/800 1611/ CPU Fan Error

Hello all,

i replaced the cpu fan of my 1600 with a low noise from papst. Unfortunatly the tacho-signal of the papst isnt the same as the signal of the nidec... (i think so).

the Papst fan works fine but the server reboots every start again and again and again (depending on the critical error 1611)

so is there any way to disable the cpu-fan check???

(the server is integratet in a rack in my living-room and my wife means, if the server will not be quieter then they must go!!!) ;-)

cheers
Martin

No. If you disable it and fan failed, then you may have to replace both fan and the processor..!
