Shut down the system.
Locate the setting for disabling the onboard video.
Install the PCI video card.
Close and start system.
You might have to have the SmartStart CD to enable.
Good Luck.
PS I have one of these and I did the same thing.

I installed 4 different PCI ATI cards All of which were automatically found and installed but would not work.
I tried at least 4 or 5 of the different drivers for each card 128 Rage, etc none of them worked
So like I said thank you I'll see what other card I can find to try.
