Proliant 3000R Video card

Anyone know the trick in adding a pci video card to the 3000R? The 1mb ATI leaves a lot to be desired even on remote maintenance.

Thank you

The top cover should have a diagram of the internal settings.

Shut down the system.

Locate the setting for disabling the onboard video.

Install the PCI video card.

Close and start system.

You might have to have the SmartStart CD to enable.

Good Luck.

PS I have one of these and I did the same thing.

Re: Proliant 3000R Video card

Thank you again now all I need to find is a card that 2003 server has drivers for.

I installed 4 different PCI ATI cards All of which were automatically found and installed but would not work.

I tried at least 4 or 5 of the different drivers for each card 128 Rage, etc none of them worked

So like I said thank you I'll see what other card I can find to try.

I used a nvidia riva and it worked with 2003.
