By settings you mean the bus to core ratios
- http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?locale=en_US&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=254916тМй=en&cc=us
check out the user guides; maint and service guides
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&locale=en_US&docIndexId=179911&taskId=101&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=254916
the PII 400 - 450 uses the same board as the PIII 500-550
on page 76 / 196 of the maint and service guide check out the bus to core ratio switch settings.
and you should find the setting on page 92
http://h200006.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_312237-003/TPM_312237-003.pdf

400-MHz models ON ON ON OFF
450-MHz models OFF ON ON OFF
500-MHz models ON ON OFF OFF

NOTE: Compaq makes no representation or warranty that processors that operate at any

Re: Proliant 6000 max CPU
So far they will run at 400,450 and 500 could not find settings for anything faster.
If all goes good they should work.
this is what I have

Thanks again,Scott
