Proliant 8500 upgrade
Hi
I plan to buy 8 xeon 700MHz/1M (SL49P) or 8 xeon 700MHz/2M (SL49R) to upgrade my 4x550Mhz/2M proliant 8500. Will it be ok by just replacing cpus, ppms & cache accelerators or will I need an upgraded rom ?
Thanks

Re: Proliant 8500 upgrade
Hi Vittel,
You can replace the CPUs, PPMs, and Cache Accelorators, however, when you start it up for the first time, be sure to upgrade the ROM.
