Proliant DL380 - Expand raid array 1+0
I have a Proliant DL380 G5 with a Smart Array P400. I have one SAS Array consisting of two 36GB SAS Drives. They are configured with Raid 1+0 and contain the main os.
I also have a second SAS array consisting of two 72GB SAS Drives. Again these are configured with Raid 1+0. I have purchased a further two 72GB SAS drives which I want to add to the second SAS array to increase the storage space, I guess this should then be configured for RAID 5. I don't have the option to expand my existing array to increase the size. Do I need to split the Raid 1+0 and recreate as Raid 5. Is there any risk of data loss. What is the procedure for doing this.
