Proliant ML110 G5 Embedded Raid Diskette Image
Hello. Not used to this sort of thing, I have reached an impasse. Simply put, HP's instructions don't seem comprehensive enough to me (as a novice). They say (on the small sheet that came with the server), go to HP site and download the 'HP Embedded SATA RAID Controller' driver - creating a diskette using the instructions on the site (can't find any instructions to create diskette). I have begun to simply prey in from of the machine as I have no idea how to go about setting it up. In desparation I have put the CD that came with it and a Utility of sorts boots up - but I daren't experiment any further as I undersatnd that the first time the machine boots, there is an automatic setup of the RAID based on the hardware (it has two disks which we want to set up in RAID 1). I was told that it was easy, and I'm sure it is, but not with such dire instructions/ambiguity.
If anyone is bored enough to help, please do.
N.B. MS. Small Bus. Serv. 2003 R2 is to be installed.
Here's hoping - thanks for reading.

Hello Richard,
we all have been there :)
Best option now, less complicated is to use nlite software to integrate the Drivers with the OS image.
www.nliteos.com
User guide is also available there.
Happy New year.
:) Regards.
