Proliant ML110 SATA server - harddisk installation problem
i have recently purchased a Proliant ML110 Sata server; it comes with a prebuilt Maxtor 160GB Sata harddisk.
In order to take advantage of its raid capabilities, i have purchased a separate Maxtor 160GB sata drive from ebuyer in the hope of building a raid 1 array.
however, i am finding difficulties in fixing the 'new' harddisk into the hot plug drives with the 3 haddisk cages.
Do i need to purchase additional hot plug cages from HP in order to fix the maxtor harddisk into the server?
many thanks
Alan

Did you ever sort this? I was thinking about purchasing the same box as you but if it only comes with the 1 hot-swap fixing then I'm gonna have to look elsewhere. Surely it comes with the full set of 'em??

Re: Proliant ML110 SATA server - harddisk installation problem
i end up buying 1 * HP harddisk for 3 * the price.
It is a Maxtor harddisk with HP fixing cage.
Is a total rip off

Re: Proliant ML110 SATA server - harddisk installation problem
Just a few screws to remove the whole cage
Almost as easy as hot swap !
