Proliant ML350G04 fails 3Com 3C996-sx
When I install a 3C996-SX fiber card in my ML350G4, the server gives the error Unsupported PCI device detected.
The network card has the correct specs PCI-X 133, this should be compatible with the server specs
Anyone have any suggestions, BIOS update ?
Kind regards,
Peter

Re: Proliant ML350G04 fails 3Com 3C996-sx
Hi Peter;
3com does not support this NIC in HP Proliant Servers...
If you go to the 3com knowledgebase it's Solution ID 3KB15055

Re: Proliant ML350G04 fails 3Com 3C996-sx
Just to let you all know this card will work fine in the dl380 servers. I am having a problem with getting it working in the dl360's. But according to 3com it is your problem not theirs.
