RAID-5 Config on Ext Channel 1

I want to configure a storage system 6 box w/ 6 4GB drives on CH1 of the internal RAID controller.

Configuration:

RAID-5
Hot Swap Standby (drive6)

Are there any issues I need to be aware of?

Do you have a step by step procedure for doing what I am doing?

you can create the raid in a similar way as you create a internal one

from ctrl-M express tools, you can select the hdd and create your logical drive, them initalize it and reboot.

from cd-navigator, start netraid assistant and in a grafical environment, create your LD and initialize.

For the SS6, take in mind that it is a SCSI-2 Box, so slow down the scsi channel speed of your netraid before to connect it
