I believe that you can configure ribs to use AD authentication and getting away from the Administrator & Operator users!
If this is the case what do you need to get this to work, I have PSP 7.30a loaded on servers, but the option of setting up the RIB to use local authentication isn't apparent!
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Solution
Annette:
Not sure about the original Remote Insight Boards, but newer iLo's can be set up to use AD. I have not done it yet, but it is a task on my plate to at least test it out.
You do need the latest firmware though so you should at least get that done.
In the meantime, can you tell use which insight boar you have? RILOE? RILOE2? iLo?
Setting up Directory access is usually done though the bios setup utility. You have to reboot the server to get into it. There is a command line utility to configure some remote insight options, but rebooting might be easier.

Re: RIBs and Active Directory
I have a mixture of Rib 1's and 2s. I will be completing a firmware upgrade during the next two weeks 7.40.
Once that is completed I will investigate further then, I had hoped that this could be configured via the Web page rather than the BIOS.
Regards

Re: RIBs and Active Directory
Oh, yea... the RIB has a web interface. SHould be able to do it from there.
Again, not sure if the original RILOE has the functionality.
