Right place to post? Proliant Micro N36L - Remote Access Card Kit (615095-B21)

Hi,

where I can find a product documentation for installation and setup?

We are an NPO for therapy - not an IT specialist...

Couldn't find it on the HP Website..

Hope for help in this forum.

Hey!

What are you wondering about?
How to install it or how to configure it?

I don't know much about the N36L but maybe we can figure it out :)

Have you looked through the manuals for the micro servers?

Hello Johan,

I don't know how to install and configure it - because they delivered just the card...

I found nothing in the manuals of the server... Do you mean a special one?

I know: GIDF (German: Google ist dein freund - English: Google is your friend) - but I can't find a solution...

Thank you for taking time for our problem

And sorry for my bad English.

Birgit

OK I had a look in the guides..

See the user guide page 13.

There it describes how to cable it after it's been installed (and gives you quite a good hint as to where to install physically).

Apparently it's called an IPMI card (like on Dell servers) and you can use the RJ45 to connect to the WebUI of the BMC.

You can set some settings in regards to the card in BIOS.

In the maintenance and service guide there is an illustrated parts picture of the card (spare part is

624877-001 for the Remote Access Card). Which you can confirm is the spare part for your -B21 number: http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=615095-B21 .

See page 52 in the same guide for details how to physically install it and 62 for how to configure it (set IP etc) in BIOS.

On http://h20464.www2.hp.com/index.html there is even a video for how to install the IPMI card.
