SCSI drive suddenly read only?
G'Day!
I've got an ML110 with a single 36Gb U320 drive hanging off an LSI SCSI card. It has been operating without complain for roughly 3 years. Suddenly, however, the drive has decided to write protect itself. I have checked; the write protect jumper is not present on the drive. I have used all manner of utilities to try to do anything to the drive - re partition, delete files, format, you name it - all to no avail. I have run out of ideas!
I did notice a partition called "EISA utilities" on the drive; could the answer lie there? If so, how do I get at it?
Many thanks in advance,
Matthew.

Re: SCSI drive suddenly read only?
Thankyou!
I've seen that one, and will no doubt apply the fix once I can write to the drive - I'm hoping I don't have to apply the fix in order to do that!
