SNMP agent not updated when IML is cleared
Hi.
We use SNMP to poll hardware information from our servers, using hp-health and hp-snmp-agents. When we get an error in the IML log, this is detected via SNMP and presented in our monitoring system. To clear the error entries, we log in to the iLO and clear the log.
But after the log has been cleared, we still get the error entries via SNMP, it does not go away until the hp-snmp-agents are restarted.
This problem is also present on Windows, and on all different versions of hp-snmp-agents/hpasm that we have tested.
Of course we could mark the entries as repaired instead of clearing the log, but it should still be fixed.
