Smart Array 3200 Controller ROM version 4.40

I have some old Proliant 1600 servers with Smart Array 3200 controllers in them. Believe it or not I am finding some that do not have the last released firmware's installed and I need to to complete a project I am working on. They all currently have a firmware level of 4.16 and the last issued was version 4.50 however it is telling me that I need to upgrade to FW version 4.40 before I can upgrade to version 4.50. I cannot locate FW version 4.40 anywhere. Anyone have any idea how to obtain that rev FW or another way I can get these SA 3200's updated?

Version 4.4 has been removed quite sometime ago; The only other way, as I see is to download the Firmware maintenance CD 7.2 from :
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/download/22489.html

& boot the servers; this has the required drivers & should work;

Thanks James. I actually did download the FW Maintenance CD 7.20 but what I noticed was that when I tried to boot from it, it would start to load and then it just dumps me to a Linux prompt. It did the same for version 7.30 which I also tried. I will try and isolate the driver for the 3200 on the 7.20 CD and see if i can install it from there. Otherwise, this box is so old I may just exempt it. I will reply back with my results.

I have the following RomPaq Versions for the 3200:
- 2.59 with BIOS Vers 4.32
- 2.61 with BIOS Vers 4.44
and newer and older Versions, but a 4.40??

Have you try to update 4.16 -> 4.32 -> 4.44 ?
