Smart Array 5i Performance Issue

I have a DL380 with a Smart Array 5i controller.
The specs are:
64-Bit PCI
Embedded

Hardware Revision - B
Firmware - 1.92
Rebuild - Low
Expand - Low
Number of Arrays - 1
# of Logical - 1
# of Physical - 4

Array Accelerator
Present - Yes
Cache - Enabled
Accelerator Ratio - 100% Read / 0% Write
Read Cache - 49152 KB

Obviously it takes a tremendous amount of time to do any amount of copying files or writing in general.

I tried going into the ACU but it will not allow me to change the Ratio to a 50/50. Anybody with any help on this matter would be appreciated. Do I need a Firmware update to be allowed to make the change?

Thanks in advance.

To enable write cache you need the battery backup option for the 5i.

Seconds on the above. Cache is needed.
