Smart Array 641 and Fujitsu U320 LVD Drives
We have an ML350 (G1) using a SMART Array 641 card and two HP 72GB U320 drives in a RAID 1 configuration with Windows 2000 Server. Works fine although now we're trying to add two 300GB drives to the 641 SCSI chain in another RAID 1 pair. The array configuration utility does not see the new drives during boot process. Could the problem be that we're using the Fujitsu MBA3300 model drives? Do we need to be more selective about drive manufacturer?

Re: Smart Array 641 and Fujitsu U320 LVD Drives
you probably find that NO non-HP drives will work with any hp Smart Array controller. The Drives have to have firmware that supports the Smart Array controller.
