Support for SATA RAID Controller and Boot Sequence

Added a Fast Track S150 TX4 Raid to ML 370 1GHZ with Array controller 431 - when setting up the SATA raid the server is trying to boot off the SATA drive first and the array controller 431 is not detected. Is there a way change the boot device priority?

Thank you

Re: Support for SATA RAID Controller and Boot Sequence

Had you looked at F10 Hardware Configuration - First Device to Boot?

Where you see 431 - change it to FIRST

Please let us know how it works, never got before chance FT S150 in ML370G1

Re: Support for SATA RAID Controller and Boot Sequence

Problem solved.!

Move controllers around.

On the ML370 G1 the first two pci 32 bits slots are primary and the four 64 bits slots are secondary when booting up. I place the SA 431 in slot 3 64 bit and then place the Sata Raid card in slot 6 64 bit (remove sata raid controller bracket to make it fit in the slot) After reboot went into BIOS and run System configuration utility and saved the changes.

Now, SA 431 is detected first.

Thank you all
