Trying to get Bios for gen8 homeserver.

As above. Logging into the iLo on my server it says my email is registered to the Home server....im reasonably sure its not a year old so my support is still valid. But for whatever reason i cannot find out how to get the bios. Whatever i seem to click on within the iLo sends me round in circles on the website. Can any one help.

What Gen8 server exactly are you referring to? Saying Gen8 isn't sufficient to get help.

Re: Trying to get Bios for gen8 homeserver.

"Homeserver" means literally nothing, is it an HP ProLiant Microserver Gen8? is it a ProLiant MLxx/xxx (Tower) or DLxx/xxx (Rack) Gen8? be specific or provide the Server's Serial Number...

Mate, have a look here:

http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/home/?sp4ts.oid=5379860&sp4ts.sn=CZ161901KB&sp4ts.pn=819185-421

If your Support expired you will not able to download SystemROM BIOS Firmware file or the SPP (Service Pack for ProLiant) ISO file.

Re: Trying to get BIOS for gen8 MicroServer

It looks like the OP owns/has a Gen8 MicroServer, not the latest and newest Gen10...

Re: Trying to get BIOS for gen8 MicroServer

I too am trying to update the firmware and bios, yet it sends me in circles, really strange.

I have never seen a website so confusing, and I'm deeply into IT since the 1980s, and heavily licensed too.

HP really needs to work on their presentation. Especially regarding patches and updates.

I have a Gen8 server for about a year, but apparently it's out of warranty *already*, geez. That was quick! I sure as hell am not going to pay even more, the server itself was expensive enough. I could have built my own with faster hardware for about half the price. And apparently *all* updates and patches require some kind of contract or payment, it's ludicrous.

Last time I'm ever buying anything HP. You, dare I say it, genuinely suck at IT.
