UPS T1000 XR LV firmware upgrade

Since the firmware upgrade (2.01) the fan slows down but apparently too slow and the alarm goes off and power manager says that there is a fan failure. Is there a way to tweak the rpm setting of the fan or adjust the alert threshold? Where do I get the file to revert back to the previous firmware?
