Ultra2 to Ultra3

I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. We have three lc2000's and one newer one that I'm trying to mirror from the older lc2000's. The older lc2000's are currently running MS Terminal Server 4. The older lc2000's are Ultra2 and the newer one is ultra3. I have tried to pull a hard drive from one of the older lc2000's and put it into the newer lc2000 in hopes of mirroring the drive. It seemes to rebuild the drive fine, but when I go to boot up the machine I get a blue screen-"inaccesable boot device". When I remove the Ultra2 drive from the machine and try to boot from my newly rebuilt Ultra3 drive I get a "no operating system found". I have manually set the switch in the Netraid Express to run at Ultra2 speed in the new lc2000, but this doesn't seem to do the trick. Any ideas?

Re: Ultra2 to Ultra3

Marco,

You might want to install the Ultra3 drivers for NT first (on your Ultra2 system before moving the disk).
Download them from: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/ccd/keeper2sdd/servers/lc2000u3drvnt40.exe

Let me know if it works.

Marco.

Re: Ultra2 to Ultra3

Are the Netraid cards the same? Both 1M's etc...

Re: Ultra2 to Ultra3

I think older netserver is a 1si and the newer one is a 1M.
