Unable to see NIC , even though the ping is working

Hi All,

This is a peculiar problem facing for the first time.
My 2 blade servers are in cluster.When i rebooted my node1,i was able to get ping results to all other devices. however i was unable to see any icon in the network connections. because of this my cluster service was not getting started . I checked for Network connections service, but that is turned on. All the network connections are working fine except that i am unable to see my NIC's. I tried reinstalling the NIC , but that did not help.
PLease advice on the possible causes.
The details are as follows :
Blade : HP BL 460 C
OS : Win 2K3 , SP2, R2

Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated.
