Unexpected dl380g3 reboot even if ASR disabled.

Hello,

We meet since a few weeks Unexpected reboot on dl380g3 box. To troubleshoot it we disabled the ASR, but we went in the same situation. Having a look at the ILO logs i notice "Server power removed", "Server power restored" and "server reste", but can't manage to determine the cause of those logs.

Does someone know how to get rid of this issue please ?

Thanks for any advices about it.

Regards,

Emmanuel

I have same problem on a DL380 G4.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Unexpected dl380g3 reboot even if ASR disabled.

Hi Emmanuel.

This entry means that the power cord has been removed and reconnected or that the powersource failed. iLO will report this in any case, also the server itself is not powered on.

Could be power loss on the walloutlet or maybe a loose connection of the power cord.

Server reset means that the server has been resetted without power loss, this could have been an error, a normal reset at the server or also a reset initiated by iLO.

Checked the IML?

I don't think ASR has anything to do with this, ASR would be logged in IML an I think in eventlog, too.

From distance it is hard to say what might be the reason.
