What Linux distro on HP LP1000R 1.13 with HP NetRaid1m card???
Hi all,
I've recently purchased a refurbished HP LP1000R server with an internal HP NetRaid 1m raid card.
The server is equipped with 3 18,2 Gb disks that i've configured to do Raid 5.
Now, whatever Linux distribution that i've tried, neither of them does recognize the NetRaid 1m card.
I've tried with Fedora / CentOS / Ubuntu (all server editions) but there just doesn't seem to be a valid driver for these OS-es.
I'm sure there's people around that have a running Linux installation on a LP1000R with this NetRaid 1m card. How did you make it work? What distribution did you use?
Any help is more then welcome!!!!
Mark

Re: What Linux distro on HP LP1000R 1.13 with HP NetRaid1m card???
Hi Mark,
I had the same problem until I installed FreeBSD. It works from version 3 to 6
(Not tested on earlier versions).
I also tried Fedora Core 3, 4 and 5 but no success.
So, you could install FreeBSD if you'd like...
Good luck!
