What can I do whit HP Netserver LH3

Hi, I have HP LH3 and I was given a task to find out is it posible to some how upgrade it. It has one Pentium 2 400MHz and 256MB PC100 ram instaled. What parts can I plug in, or mayby it's posible to throw every thing out and build a new serwer in this LH3 casing?

most of the Netserver series cases are specific to HP, you cannot fit other motherboards in.

I presume the LH3 is similar to the LC3, but has a larger case, capable of taking 6 drives in the LH3 against only 3 in the LC3.

The LC3 can be upgraded from P2 400 to P3 550 twin CPUs.
Memory limit I think is 4GB.
THe largest disk you can use is 18GB at 7200rpm or 9GB at 10000rpm.
I have several processors and some RAM, plus a StorageRack RS/8 (to hold 8 additional SCSI disks) if your want to buy them ?

My experience with parts from HP on older equipment is you're better off buying a new server.

New servers are very cheap now. Even a newer desktop will probably provide better performance than this server upgraded.

Or else check somewhere like ebay or look for a second hand/ex demo supplier in your area/country.
