Which hal.dll for WIn2K Pro in DL380?

system: DL380 G2, Win2K Pro, SP3

Been having sporadic STOP errors, USB driver related perhaps, last one referencing hal.dll.

System is using ACPI Multiprocessor for hal.

I now see there are other options, one of them named Compaq.

Should I be using another?

The DL380 G2 should use the native Windows HAL, not an OEM version.

Uniprocessor: halaacpi.dll
Multiprocessor: halmacpi.dll

During Windows installation and depending upon the number of processors detected, one of the aforementioned files will be renamed to hal.dll and placed in C:\Winnt\System32.
