Write Delays on ML350 with 641 RAID controller - SBS 2003
I have an ML350 running SBS 2003 that reports write delays frequently. Are there standard troubleshooting steps I can take to track down the cause? I am thinking of installing a Write Cache Enabler (Battery back up) into this RAID controller but want to be sure that will help.
The server has 2GB of RAM, plenty of disc space and only services about 25 to 30 users. But it does have a few databases and Exchange running on it of course (the joys of single server sites).

Re: Write Delays on ML350 with 641 RAID controller - SBS 2003
Without Write Cache Enabler yoy can not configure SmartArray 64X to use Write cache.
The cache memory settings are always 100%-Read / 0% Write.
Check for HDD/Controller compatibility, driver and BIOS version.
I have trouble with SCSI cable.
