adding new printer to network

i am trying to add my HP laser jet 1022, that is on my local drive, to my netwrok, server.
When i go to add printer, in the network, I can only select hp 1100 or HP 1200 and i dont see my HP 1022. I tried using that printer model 1200 but it did not work. is this an issue that has to presented to my tech in my office or is the printer hp 1022 extinct and that is why it is appearing as one of the printers that i can select to add
