Re: cannot update vcagent on my server
James,
Thanks for reminding me to post the results. I did fix the issue. After a lot of 'run around' with tech support, they finally gave me the info i needed. What you need to do is completely uninstall the vcagent. to do that:
1. go to add/remove programs and remove vcagent
2. Delete the service with 'sc delete cpqvcagent' in the command line
3. Delete the folder 'C:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcagent'
4. reboot
5. download cp009114.exe from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3288103&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3186080&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1005#7832
6. install it
7. reboot
let me know if that works
