cant access bios after bios admin password is set

working on the DL380 G5 and just set up the bios admin password, reboot the server and tried to enter the bios. I cannot get in and had to reset it via the board. Every time I set the bios admin password, it refuses me access saying password incorrect even though I have typed in the correct password.
Is there any step I am missing or is this a problem with dl380 g5?

Hello,

I had the same issue and i just find out that it was because the password set was more than 7 letters...

Example, i entered ThisIsMyServerPassword and the system saved ThisIsd as setup password (6 first letters and then the last typed)
