cp009700 will not install on Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition-II

I cannot get the HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility for Windows Server 2003/2008 Version 2.1.0.1 to install successfully on a Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition-II that is in a ML530 G2 server. When attempting, first I get:

The software is currently installed, but does not need to be installed on
this system.

Current Version: 2.0.4.1

Installation will not continue.



Then I get:



Message Completed installation with summary result 1.
Additional Data
All components installed successfully.
If any components returned a result code 2, indicating a reboot was required, the Version Control Agent initiated the system reboot.


The net result is that the VC status remains "yellow" with version 2.0.4.1 as the installed version. This is comparing against Support Pack 8.20A.

I have also tried to execute cp009700 independently of the SMHP interface without any luck.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
