cr3500 controller failover
HD looks like it failed - red x on drive. However, in the cr3500 array util the problematic target there shows a blank space...no indication that a drive even exists. Is it the HD or the controller? Not able to clear the failure for the drive...How do I tell if controller failover is configured? I did replace the drive - but it had no lights, put old one back in - ni lights either now. array is running in "reduce" mode...Any ideas helpful.

Re: cr3500 controller failover
CR3500 controllers are tricky... You realy should update the Firmware of the controller, there are a lot of issues with it...

Re: cr3500 controller failover
thanks, I found out the cr3500 is not "smart"...Had to replace the drive > add as new > go to logical drives > choose reconstruct.
not very intuitive, but Im used to the "smart array". Its back to nornmal!
