dual cpu on an 1600R (different cpu frequency)

Hi!

Have read the forums, and read about the dual processor configuration. I have an proliant 1600 and a proliant 1600r, and i want to use parts from the 1600 to "max out" the 1600r. The problem is that the 1600 has an 550 Mhz cpu and the 1600r an 500 Mhz cpu. Is the Power modules the same for these processors? in that case i could use an old 550 cpu from a busted pc with the 1600r power module..

And also could you point me in the right direction for a manual on upgrading to dual processors? isn´t there some manual from compaq?

Best regards

Mikael

The PPMs for the 500 and 550 Mhz procs are the same for the Proliant 1600.
Here is a link to all the drivers and documentations and manuals for the Proliant 1600.

Thanks and let me know if there is anything else that you need.
