expanding - is this it?

Did I get this right?
Existing environment: Proliant 3000, smartarray 3200, drivecage 328073-B21 (simplex 7 slot) 4*18.2Gb-drives (400739-B21) in Raid 5, OS=Nw5.0.

Now I want to expand storagespace.
choices:
1. replace all existing drives w 36.4Gb (176498-B21/128420-B21/400740-B21)
2. Add 3*18.2/36.4Gb drives to the unused slots, create new logical drive, add space to existing volumes or create new volume.
3.Buy new drivecage with WU2/3 compability, buy new drives and redo the lot.

Do I have any other choices? Pros and cons with the above? Got approx 3000$ to spend, wich would be the cheapest way? Also, I heard about Microstorage drives, any good? All information you can help me out with is appreciated.
TIA /Mike
