hp ProLiant DL380 G4 NIC

I faced an error (source: q57w2k) in our hp server Proliant Dl 380 G4. and While searching on hp website found that this error is from Network Card driver. I downloaded the driver and it solved the problem but it is solved temporarily for 3 days and then the same error appeared again.
The problem in this error is that the system freeze and stop responding until we reset it from the power button.

could you please provide us with the error's event ID?
Do you have NIC Teaming enabled?
Is the NIC's firmware up to date?

The event ID is "4" Source "q57w2k"

can you please tell me what is NIC Teaming and NIC's firmware

by the way, the driver posted by hp solved the problem, but why it remains after about 3 days .. i reinstalled the driver again and now everythinf is OK, but i'm afraid it remains after a while.

Also since 2 days ago i noticed a new error which is : Source: "srv" Event: "2012" it appeared just once.

Is the DL380 G4 running Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003? If Windows Server 2003, is it x86 Edition or x64 Edition?

it is windows server 2003 datacenter edition. but i'm not sure if its x64 or 68.

You can determine whether the DL380 G4 is running x86 Edition or x64 Edition by clicking the Start button -> select Run -> type winver.exe -> press Enter. It will say if it is x64.

There are some critical system ROM (BIOS) updates for the DL380 G4. Which version of the system ROM is system running?

I tried this before sending my last message, but this is not shown in the winver command. just it tell you the version ver 5.2 for example but not the x64 or x86

by the way i faced the error again yesterday. :S

If Winver doesn't include anything concerning x64 Edition, your system is running x86 Edition.

Are you certain that the updated NIC driver that you installed was for x86 Edition? Depending on how the driver was installed, it is possible to mistakenly install the unintended driver from HP's site.

You should also update the NCU (Network Configuration Utility) when updating the NIC driver:

Thx Again, I will apply the 2 drivers update. but before that can you please explain to me why hp posted the link bellow when i searched for the problem source: q57w2k

and I applied the driver in the link bellow and it solved the problem temp. but now it remains and i'm looking to the version of the driver in the link bellow it is 7.40.0.0 while the one you gave me is 10.24.0.0 so why hp posted that driver as solution ???

Please let me know before i update the driver, because my server is in different location and i have to update it remotely.

The HP advisory you referenced is three years old. It is probably unrelated.
