hp proliant microserver gen10 plus. HDMI connection

The server has only a DisplayPort and VGA ports output. My monitor only supports HDMI. i already tried different adaptors   - displayport to HDMI: regular one and active one. Now i just tried VGA to HDMI (stating its to connect VGA from computer to the HDMI monitor). still  no signal.

The server worked ok with VGA to VGA monitor in another location.

Does it have to be a specific cable/adaptor to use this on HDMI monitor?

Thank you.

Hi,

The display port in this server does not support passive type adapters.
Passive adapters are marked with the DP++ symbol. To ensure proper video display when connecting an HDMI or DVI display to the display port, use only active type adapters

Refer the server user guide

I tried these two supposedly active adapters

None worked.

I finally realized i have a projector with VGA and connected my server via VGA. But thats a very temporary workaround.

Is there a specific adaptor you would recommend for HDMI? Any generic ones? Thank you.

This is a very late response to this topic but has anyone identified a DP->HDMI adapter that works with the Gen10+ Microserver?

Even if there's an adapter that works, does it work during bootup? Or does only the VGA work during bootup?
